Having Duo Security in place, you can analyze all different authentication logs and anything else that applications might be interacting with. Enter the passcode you receive in the passcode field on the Duo login page. If you didn't activate a smartphone for Duo Push, you can send a passcode to your phone via SMS by clicking Text Me. With Duo activated on your account, and with your device enrolled, you are ready to use Duo. You can also check the box – Remember Me for 30 Days to only perform the authentication once a month on that device. If you activated Duo Push during account setup, click the Duo Push button to receive a two-factor authentication request from Duo Mobile. Follow the prompted instructions through the app. You can do this by scanning a QR code with the app’s built in scanner, or Duo can send you an email. Once you install the app, you will need to connect your device to your Duo account. If you choose mobile device, which is recommended, you will be prompted to enter your phone number, and choose the type of device (iPhone, Android, etc.) Step 3 – Install & Activate Duo MobileĭUO will walk you through how to download the mobile app for your device, but you can also access them directly at the links below. You’ll then be prompted to start the Duo setup process. Visit mybama.ua.edu and log in with your myBama username and password. When you choose this option, Duo will call your phone, and you can press a key to gain access.įollow the steps below to begin using Duo, and view our tutorials for step-by-step guides. Phone CallĬhoose this option to receive a phone call on your mobile or landline phone. These passcodes can be entered in the Duo prompt on your computer. ![]() Open your Duo mobile app, tap The University of Alabama logo and it will. You can use our self-service page to generate temporary access codes to get into your myBama account. Duo two-factor authentication adds a second layer of security to your myBama. You can enter this passcode when you receive the Duo prompt. If you do not have your device with you, don’t worry. Open your Duo mobile app, tap The University of Alabama logo and it will reveal a passcode. This option does not require wifi or data, so this is a great option if you’re traveling or if you have limited or no cell/internet service. You can use the same Duo mobile app to generate passcodes. This is the easiest way to use Duo, and it’s the preferred option. Simply tap the green checkmark to gain access. Open the notification, and you’ll see a green checkmark, and a red x. Once you’ve installed the Duo mobile app on your smartphone or tablet, you can select to receive a Duo notification. You should see a six-digit code displayed, as shown in the example below.
